HTC Explorer - Black

The HTC Explorer is a well-designed smartphone, aimed at first-time touch screen phone users, which focus on user friendly applications and ease to navigate. It's a small and compact handset with a craggy plastic covering, which feels muscular and give enough grip to handle.

Processor

The explorer runs on Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system that lets you download applications from the Android market. The 600 MHz Scorpion Processor with 512 MB RAM, increase the performance of the handset.

The HTC Explorer lets you an amazing 3D gaming experience since it uses Adreno 200 GPU. The 3.2-inch display screen allows you to view applications and documents at resolution 320 x 480 pixels. The HTC sense UI helps you to access the applications smoothly.

Camera

The HTC Explorer comes with a 3 megapixel camera that helps in capturing the favorite moments of your life. It also supports video recording facility that allows you to capture videos and play them in MP4, H.264, H.263, WMV formats. It also has other camera features like Geo-tagging and Face Detection that enhances the quality of the pictures.

Design

The Capacitive touchscreen is the face of the smartphone along with four touch buttons. You have the volume rocker on the right side. The lock, unlock and the power button is situated on the top of the handset along with the 3.5 mm audio jack.

On the left is the data sinking micro USB port along. The camera is situated at the back of the smartphone which has a plastic body with rubber texture along with and metallic plate. The Explorer also supports sensors like accelerometer for auto rotate and proximity sensor.

Storage and Battery

The HTC Explorer has an inbuilt memory of 90 MB. You can store more music files and videos as the phone memory can be expanded up to 32 GB using microSD, microSDHC cards.

Connectivity and Features

Despite its budget price, the Explorer comes with all the usual smartphone features, including a 3-megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and access to the Android Market.

The Explorer is set up to run on GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi and 3G so that you can access the Web. Connectivity options like Bluetooth and micro USB port allows you to transfer videos, music and images with other devices.

The Android phone is loaded with music player and FM radio. This helps you to relax yourself by playing music of your choice. The music player supports MP3, eAAC+, WAV formats. A-GPS enabled in the handset provides direction to the desired locations.
